Black Bean Burgers

My mom and I are debating about whether or not to be vegetarian, of course my dad doesn't even want to talk about going vegetarian. It disgusts him. So, to make my mom happy, I made black bean burgers. They were really goooood!
Here is the recipe:

Black Bean Burgers
Serves 4

2 cans of seasoned black beans, or you can season them yourself
1 cup of seasoned bread crumbs, or you can season them yourself
1/4 cup of grated white onion
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
Salt and pepper
Hot sauce
Feta cheese, for topping
Butter, for frying the burgers
4 kaiser rolls

Drain, but don't rinse the beans. Put them in a large bowl, and use a fork to smash them until there are a few chunks left. Add the breadcrumbs, onion, egg, chili powder, salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Stir until everything is combined. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes.

Heat a tablespoons or two or olive oil, with an equal amount of butter in a skillet over medium low heat. Form the bean mixture into patties, slightly larger than the buns.
Place the patties in the skillet, and cook them for about 5 minutes on the first side. Flip them to the other side, and put the cheese on them. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes.

Put the burgers on the buns, you can grill the buns if you like.
Top with hot sauce, and put the lids on top.

ENJOY!
